Get to know our Founder Anne-Kathrine Kjaer Christensen.

Anne-Kathrine is from Denmark born in 1983 and has travelled to Tanzania several times. She has facilitated meditation both for children and adults and has a deep passion to share the power of our hearts. It’s also her heart who guided her to Tanzania and the birth of Learn with care.

How we can change behaviour

Anne-Kathrine has a master from an Elite Study in Behaviour Design from Aalborg University in Denmark and has facilitated several Behaviour Design Workshops both online and face-to-face. She has also done several presentations about Behaviour Design including at Stanford University. Insights about behaviour change are contributing to help teachers and children to safety and care.

Anne-Kathrine has also participated in a Traumainformed Breathwork Facilitator Training program and the Ancestral Healing Journey with expert in collective trauma Thomas Hubl. Insights and tools from these are included in the work and toolbox for Learn with Care.

“What I didn’t know, and what wasn’t in the textbooks, is the most important lesson of my life about behavior change: Connecting to the heart is the path to change behavior.”

Moyo

Power of the heart

Moyo means heart in swahili. Director of Zanzibar School of Hope Mr. Coco calls this the moyo project – the heart project.

Anne-Kathrine is a love missionary and an ambassadeur for our hearts – for deeper care both for ourselves and others. She is among others inspired from a 1-week retreat in the buddhistic Plum Village in France.

Founder Anne-Kathrine Kjaer Christensen

“In Summer 2023 I was a volunteer in a school in Zanzibar in Tanzania. I witnessed children got beaten by a teacher for making mistakes in class. This connected me to my calling and initiated my heartfelt mission to empower safe and caring learning.

To feel safe and cared for is essential regardless of where we are in the world

Anne-Kathrine Kjaer Christensen

“We live most of our lives on autopilot, but if we connect to the heart, we can take the power and control our behavior exactly in the direction we want. We can stop repeating years of behaviors that don’t serve us. We can stop to run so fast that we can’t feel what’s important. We can take responsibility for what we encounter inside of us, so we don’t let it out on others. We can feel compassion – and we can share love.“
